  An example of eldy on a bootable usb is available here (30 days) : http://dl.free.fr/f1Ng1BLA9.
  This is a zip file 1.3GO ; it contains a disk image of 4 GO that can but restored on a 4GO usb key using clonezilla (free download).
  This is an example of a distribution for seniors where eldy and SOS SONIE are autolaunched. SOS SONIE is the free on line assistance provided by students for the SONIE project (a regional project in Paris region).
  The OS is ubuntu linux and a (free) genealogy software is also preinstalled in ubuntu.
  Such a distribution (or similar ones with other softwares) could be used by seniors that reside in elderly homes with a shared PC, by any senior because it does not need any computer knowledge, but it could also be used inside a family by housewives that are afraid to disturb their husband's PC or by adults that share a pc and would keep their personal data private and not shared with brothers and sister…

  one more comment on that : preinstalled languages in OS are french, flemish (for belgium and north of france), breton, basque, catalan = local languages of french regions ; missing is alsacien and corse (not yet provided in ubuntu).
